Rendering check

Sample Count Limit

Checks whether Cycles render samples are higher than recommended for the current output resolution.

Warning Automatic fix: Yes Settings: Yes Selection: Object

Why this check exists

Helps prevent wasted render time. Sample count should be matched to your target output resolution — higher resolutions reveal more surface detail and benefit from a larger sample budget to keep noise controlled, while lower resolutions don't need as many samples to look clean. Setting samples higher than necessary for your resolution just adds render time without improving the final image.
